The Nealon Dog Park shares its home with its larger namesake, Nealon Park. The park itself is composed of 9 acres of land in total. The property has many attractions to draw families with both children and dogs including illuminated tennis courts and picnic areas.
Though the fenced baseball field is off-leash to dogs during designated dog park hours, it is required that all dogs making use of the facility be on a lead at all other times and in all other areas of the larger Nealon Park. To allow owners to quickly leash a dog if necessary, park officials have mandated that all owners carry a lead with them at all times.
Proper cleanup and disposal of all waste materials are required. Poop bags are readily available to owners in need of one. While running water is provided on site for the use of all dogs, owners are asked to bring their own dog dishes for use by their dog. Access to the park is granted to dogs who are current on their vaccinations and who bear the appropriate rabies tag and state required dog license tag. Use of this public space is free of charge to all dogs and their owners.
This dedicated dog facility is bright and cheery. Though this park is little more than a vast open space reserved for dog play, owners value the extra exercise it affords their pets on a weekday basis. It is unknown if there are public access bathrooms on the premises. Food and drinks are not permitted in the designated dog enclosure.
For a great time at a great dog facility, take a trip to Nealon Dog Park!
