Let your furry buddy stretch their legs on the paved walking paths that weave among landscaped lawns. The Oakbrook Ken Rymer Park hugs a serene lake, giving you and Fido a woofderful view to take in as you're strolling around. Trees line the paths but not all sections are shaded, so it's a good idea to wear a hat and sunscreen if you're visiting in the middle of the day. Better yet, avoid times when the sun is strong so that your canine companion doesn't get hot paws.

There are no picnic tables or shelters at the park, but benches facing the lake provide nice spots to sit and watch the world go by. Pack a sandwich and your pup's favorite treats so you can refuel while resting. If you furgot to bring water, human and dog drinking fountains are available near the park sign.

Since Oakbrook Ken Rymer is not an off-leash dog area, Fido is required to stay on a leash at all times. This is especially important if your pooch has a penchant for chasing after smaller animals.
