Description
Olompali State Historic Park is situated in the Novato region of California, and it fosters historical remembrance, adventurous fun, and pure relaxation. This park has a significant meaning as the word "olompali" means "southern people" in the Miwok language. The Miwok people inhabited part of this land from 6,000 B.C. until the 1850s.

When you come and visit Olompali State Historic Park, you will find many different amenities that are available for your enjoyment. You will find horseback riding trails, hiking trails, historic sites, picnic areas, family programs, parking, drinking water, environmental learning center, exhibit programs, museums, vista point, picnic tables, and availability for a wide range of recreational activities.

Dogs are also allowed at the Olompali State Historic Park, but they must remain on a six-foot-long leash during their entire stay, and they must also remain by their owner's side. During your time at Olompali State Historic Park, you must follow the rules and regulations that are enforced by the state park officials. Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the park, and female pooches in heat and young pups under four months old must remain at home.

All furbuddies and their humans must be well-mannered before they come to Olompali State Historic Park as this park does not tolerate any aggressive behavior, and humans must clean up and watch over their dogs while they are here. Pet parents should also bring water and dog bags for all of their fun adventures in Olompali State Historic Park.

Olompali State Historic Park is a day use park only, so camping is not permitted here. It's only open from sunrise to sunset. Overall, Olompali State Historic Park is a fabulous area to visit for a fun time on any weekend. If you are in the region of northern California, head on down to Olompali State Historic Park. You will have a splendid time with your friends and your family.
