Oltman Dog Park

Located adjacent to Tahquitz High School, the Oltman Dog Park makes for a decent place to bring your canine for a little exercise and some socialization. This is a co-mingled dog park; there is only one large fenced area for canines of all sizes. This could put small breeds, toy dogs, and puppies at higher risk while they play with much larger canines. Canines who have not been socialized with larger canines should probably avoid this dog park. 

The Oltman Dog Park is about a half acre and is some combination of dirt and grass. One large pavilion stands in the middle of the dog park, and under this pavilion there is seating. This pavilion stands as the only shade at this dog, as there are no trees around the park and nothing to produce any additional shade. Outside of the pavilion, there are a few benches for those that would prefer to sit in the sun.

Space is not much of an issue at the Oltman Dog Park. There is enough room here for even the most energetic of canines to stretch their legs and wear themselves out. Games like fetch and frisbee are possible here. Water is available at the Oltman Dog Park so you and your canine can stay hydrated during your visit. 

As this space is quite small and the water tends to get everywhere, the ground here is often quite wet and turns into mud quite easily. This means your canine is likely to leave this dog park a complete mess, caked in mud. However, you can use the water to clean off your canine a bit on your way out of the park.

If you are a resident of Hemet, California and looking for a place to socialize your canine or wear out a friend with boundless energy, this park is an excellent option. The Oltman Dog Park is clean, well maintained and has enough space to let your canine run off that excess energy.
