If you and your pup need some outdoor time together, but Fido needs a bit of off-leash time to kick up his heels, then you should check out Ozzi’s Memorial Dog Park in Capitola, California! Your pup is sure to have a pawtastic time here!
You will find this dog park in a suburban area of the city. There is plenty of parking at the entrance to the dog park, so no additional walking is required to get the fun started! Also referred to as Ozzi and Josh’s Dog Park, this park runs along a forested area of town which offers plenty of shade within the park for pup to cool himself on a hot, summer day.Â
The entire dog park is fenced with separate areas for large and small pups. The small area is devoted to those more petite pups, elderly dogs of all sizes, and those that don’t get around as well as they used to. The larger area is very spacious and laid out in a long rectangular shape. This will allow your fur-ever friend quite a bit of running room to take off, kick up his heels and chase that ball you just threw. It is also long enough for a great running race between them and their newfound friends! The footing is dirt, concrete and lots of grass!
There is a double gate system when you first enter the park which offers security for your furrific pup as you enter and exit the park. Running water is available, and so are dog bowls. Doggie clean-up stations are provided here as well. Restrooms can be found within the McGregor Multiuse Park, which is situated next to Ozzi’s.Â
Your pup will have the best of times at Ozzi’s Memorial Dog Park, so pack them up and head over today!
