Though there is no enclosure specifically designed to meet the needs of small, elderly, or timid dogs, all dogs are invited to join in the fun in Pacific Street Dog Park's one on-premise dog run. California state legislation requires that all dogs be leashed when entering and exiting designated off-leash zones as well as in all other areas. 

As an important safety precaution, owners should also keep a leash handy at all times. Pacific Street Dog Park, a public dog playground, is pleased to invite all pooches and their people to enjoy their facility at no cost. The dog run is well-shaded by ample trees scattered throughout the play area. 

The play space is complete with access to drinking water to ensure Fido, and his favorite canine pals can quench their thirst when the need arises. Also on the grounds are poop bags and pooper scoopers to assist owners with the proper cleanup and disposal of all canine waste as mandated by Santa Monica city by-laws. 

Though reviews for this dog play haven are overwhelmingly favorable, some owners do note that the run is lined with wood chips and dirt, meaning the play space can get quite muddy during wet weather. For this reason, remember to bring a towel from home to help clean Fido up if necessary. 

It is also good to note that California legislation requires all owners to carry visible proof of poop bags at all times. Pacific Street Dog Park places a few expectations upon dogs and their owners visiting their dog playground. City dog licensing is required, and a tag must be worn on each dog's collar. 

Santa Monica Animal Control officers are vigilant in checking that all dogs are up to date on licensing. Any dogs found barking, crying, or yelping for more than a five minute period must be removed from the park. Additionally, no food is permitted on the grounds.
