Description

Peers Park in the city of Palo Alto, California, has something in it for everyone, including the family dog! This park is proud home to the Peers Park Dog Park, which your pup will be wagging for! The entire Peers Park encompasses just under 5 acres, with plenty of things to do and grassy areas to stretch your legs on. A unique feature of this park is the tall redwoods in the Challenger Memorial Grove, behind the tennis courts. The trees were grown from seeds that orbited the earth in the Space Shuttle Challenger STS-51F.

Likely your dog’s favorite part of this park will be the dog park, where they can romp around in glorious off-leash freedom. This brand new dog run provides a safe place for your pooch to enjoy some pawsitive socialization and burn off some energy. The park is just under one acre, so there is plenty of space for a good game of fetch. There is a grass surface and plenty of shade trees, so Fido can feel like a real wild dog. Some more features of the dog park include a small dog area, double gated fences, doggy drinking water and waste disposal stations. There is seating here too so you can kick back and watch the puppy playtime.

If your dog wants to see what’s on the other side of the fences, they can explore the rest of the park along with you on leash. Some of the park features include a variety of athletic fields, children’s play areas, a field house and restrooms. There are also open grassy areas and picnic areas, so why not pack a lunch and stay a while?

Dogs are welcome throughout the whole park, but need to be on their best behavior and be picked up after at all times. With all the woofderful features in this park, it gets families raving and tails wagging every time!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
