Pulgas Ridge Off Leash Dog Trail
The terrain within the preserve is hilly and can be quite steep, but the views from the mountainous areas are a sight to behold. Because of the ruggedness of the land, owners are asked to leash their dogs when not in the designated off leash dog trail section. This area is fenced, but owners are still requested to maintain a leash with them at all times and to have full control of their dogs when they are off their lead.
The Pulgas Ridge facility is fraught with many different types of flora and fauna. Wildflowers litter the ground in the spring with many trees, shrubs, and other greenery also enhancing the overall landscape. With Fido's exercise needs in mind, park officials have designed at 17.5-acre space for off-leash running and play.
Because of the heavily wooded areas, ticks are prevalent at Pulgas Ridge. For this reason, it is important to treat your dog with an appropriate flea and tick preventative medication or to apply a topical repellent to your pet. Poop bags are not provided on site nor are trash receptacles easily accessible. Owners are asked to carry poop bags with them for the proper removal and disposal of all canine waste.
It is unknown if water is available or if there are public access bathroom facilities on the Pulgas Ridge Off-Leash Dog Trail.
