Railroad Dog Park

Lucky dogs of Lewisville have a puptastic place to play! The Toyota of Lewisville Railroad Dog Park is the happening place for local canines inside the Lewisville Railroad Park.

There's room for every pooch here, with two separate, fully fenced enclosures. The small dog area welcomes pups 30 lbs. and under to romp safely off leash on an acre of pawsome grassy land. The big dog section stretches for 5-acres, and is for the heftier of canines to play. Several double-gated entries provide extra security, and are accessible from the adjacent parking lot shared with the Skate Park next door. 

Once your dog is inside and ditches the leash, they'll have plenty of space to run and chase puppy pals. These open fields give energetic dogs more than enough room to get tuckered out, while shy dogs can always find a spot away from the pack. Benches are scattered throughout both sections, giving pet pawrents lots of places to relax while keeping an eye on the action. A couple of shade structures offer a bit of respite from the sun, but otherwise, there isn't too much shade. Luckily, there's also a few water fountains for humans and dogs to help keep everyone hydrated. 

With several clean-up bag stations and trash cans, picking up after your pup couldn't be any easier! The soft grass is well maintained, making it easy to see whatever was left behind, and if your dog gets muddy on wet days, there's even a wash station! All your dog needs to come join the fun is to be vaccinated, and wearing their current rabies and city license tags on their collars.

Whether an early bird or a night owl, lights give every kind of schedule a chance to get an off leash run in. The park is closed on Thursdays for maintenance, and can also close for icy, wet or hazardous conditions. You can always check to see if the dog park is open by calling the hotline on the website. Be sure to keep the leash on whenever entering or exiting the park, and anywhere else inside Lewisville Railroad Park. Once off, keep the leash in hand at all times. The dog park is located across from the sports fields, and restrooms for the humans in your pack can be found near the baseball fields. Note that dogs are not allowed on an fields or bleachers.
