The fence separates the land into three different sections, two for large breeds and one for small canines and puppies. Water is available at this park near the gate to each of the three sections. Poop bags are available at the entrance, and garbage cans are scattered throughout. The water fountains are outside of the fenced area, so be sure to bring your bowl to keep your canine hydrated while they play on sunny days.
Although there are not many trees inside the fenced sections to produce some shade, there are large pavilions built above some picnic tables to provide ample seating and shade for the visitors of the park. The grounds here change from grass to dirt depending on the time of year you come, but while it is dirt, your canine could leave quite dirty.
During some times of the year, heavy rainfall can turn this park into a temporary mud pit and your dog may get muddy. The Railroad Dog Park is well lit and stays open into the evening. Some of the local pet stores have provided some nice agility equipment for canines to use at this dog park.
There is a lot of space here, and the agility equipment helps to exercise even the most energetic canines, this ensures that they will be happily worn out by the time you leave. This dog park is located across from the sports fields, and public restrooms can be found at the facilities near the baseball fields. These restrooms are open year round and stay clean and well maintained.
