Park in the northern parking area of Dominguez Park, where there is a large paved lot for cars. There are water fountains, restrooms, and benches near the parking area inside the larger park. You and Fido will have to walk about 200 feet before reaching the entrance of the dog park, and be sure to keep your pup leashed until they are inside the fenced-in area.Ā
The entrance to the large dog area is on the south side of the dog park, marked by a double-gated entrance. Once inside, you'll find a huge open area composed of a dirt and sand terrain that stays cool during the day, with some taller trees and shade along the northern part of the park. Inside the park are human and dog-sized water fountains, clean-up stations, and trash bins to use.
The small dog section offers the same terrain with less shade, and its entrance is located along the north side of the park. There are benches, more water fountains, clean-up stations, and trash bins to enjoy, plus a large area to roam free, giving your pup the option to play with other dogs or the room to run solo. Surrounded by trees to the north and grassy fields to the south, this dog park is gorgeous in the summer and winter.
No matter what time of year you're going, this puptastic park is one of the best places in the city with room to stretch and friendly dogs to meet. Your pup will give it two paws up!
