Rengstorff Off-Leash Dog Area forms a part of its namesake facility Rengstorff Park. The park contains high-quality playground equipment, and basketball and tennis courts for younger and older children alike to enjoy. The dog portion of the park is ideally situated near to the tennis courts. There are also picnic tables and BBQ pits provided to allow visitors to the park to prepare and enjoy a leisurely family lunch.
Rengstorff Park also boasts of onsite pool facilities; however, the pool is only open to the public during the summer season. Though entrance to the park itself is free of charge, swim passes must be purchased for those wishing to use the pool. This dog space is comprised primarily of grass, making it an ideal spot for a run or game of fetch.
Complimentary poop bags are provided on site. All visitors to the park are asked to please facilitate keeping the park clean by promptly picking up and properly disposing of any canine waste materials produced by their dogs while at the park. There are no official rules governing the use of this public space. However, it is always advisable for your dog to be current on all vaccinations and to bear the required state license tag.Â
While this park permits off-leash dogs, it is recommended that dogs be leashed coming to and from the play area. Dogs exhibiting socially inappropriate or aggressive behavior should refrain from using the off-leash play area. It is unknown if seating or water are available on site.Â
