Rice Ranch Community Dog Park (at Orcutt Community Park)

Opened in 2009, Rice Ranch Community Dog Park at Orcutt Community Park is one of the newest canine facilities opened in the area. It is 2.5 acres of doggie wonderland which has a separate area for small dogs, so they can have fun without fear of getting mauled by much larger dogs. There is plenty of room in both the small and large areas for dogs.

A favorite of locals, as well as non-residents, the park has two entrances which are very convenient for those who want to visit and have a good time. The dog park is part of the picturesque and sprawling 26-acre community park and sports complex which features championship soccer fields, playgrounds, picnic areas, barbecue grills, as well as youth and adult baseball fields. 

Constantly rated as one of the best dog parks in California, the Rice Ranch Community Dog Park has benches all throughout the park so dog owners can sit and observe their pooches having fun with canine friends. There are also dog water fountains functioning all throughout the year to help ensure no pooch at the park ever gets thirsty. 

There are also restored open space areas that have a network of trails linking to regional networks with native plants. The middle of the Rice Ranch Community Dog Park has a big, muddy grass area but there is a hose just in front of the entrance, which can be used to wash the dirt off your pets after exiting so they can go home fresh and clean.

The place is exceedingly well-maintained and there is easy access to clean-up supplies for dogs so do your part to keep it that way. Restrooms are located conveniently nearby so you need not worry if you need to use the toilet. Take note that alcohol is not permitted at the park as it is a place for adults, children, and pets.
