Enjoy a woofderful day out in Carpinteria with your canine pal when you visit Rincon Beach Park! Located near the Santa Barbara/Ventura county line, this furrific spot sits on top of the bluffs, offering puptastic ocean views and pawsome surfing waves. Though this park is pawpular among surfers, it's not just for those who know how to hang ten—everyone is welcome here, including four-legged visitors!
Doggos are allowed to stroll in the sand and have a picnic with their family at Rincon as long as they are on a leash, so make sure your pup is clipped before they hop out of the car. Water-loving pooches will likely want to head straight to the beach, which sits below the parking lot. To get to the sandy strip, you and Fido will have to walk down a tall set of stairs or a paved ramp from the grassy area near the parking lot. Enjoy puptacular views of the Pacific as you and your pooch take a leisurely walk along the shoreline, but do keep an eye out for tar. The beach also tends to accumulate a lot of driftwood and seaweed, and during low tides, there are some sandbars and tide pools that your curious pup can check out.Â
Aside from the beach, Rincon offers a mile-long trail that is suitable for doggos of all activity levels. This out-and-back trail runs across the hillside overlooking the beach, giving you and your pooch a scenic backdrop during your trek. Be sure to have clean-up bags on hand, and stoop and scoop when necessary. If all that walking and exploring have left you hungry, duck under the picnic ramada to dig into a packed lunch with your furry buddy. Always bring water to share too!
If you're looking for a spot where you can relax with Fido, you can't go wrong with Rincon Beach Park!
