Rohnert Bark Dog Park (at Roberts Lake)

Rohnert Bark Dog Park is a public dog park located at Roberts Lake in Rohnert Park, California. It is set in a beautiful, serene environment filled with lush greenery between picnic areas and a scenic lake. The dog park is securely fenced and has a double-gated entry system that helps minimize the risk of any pooches slipping out of the park as others enter it. 

It is divided into two separate areas for dogs to roam around in without their leash. There is a large dog run area and a small dog run area. The small dog area is quite small but provides enough room for dogs to socialize and play. There are lots of mature trees, so it is well-shaded and equipped with a water fountain. The large dog run is long and narrow, making it perfect for games of chase or fetch. 

The park has some shade, several benches for owners to relax on and a canine drinking fountain. Unfortunately, both areas have the occasional foxtails and weeds so keep that in mind if you have a long-haired dog. There are geese that wander outside the Rohnert Bark Dog Park at Roberts Lake which can excite or agitate certain dogs too. 

Both off-leash areas have a grassy and mulch-covered surface which can get dusty when it's hot and muddy when it rains, so it is best to keep a towel in your car for your dog’s paws. The dog park is easily accessible and has free parking which is one of the reasons it is so popular among dog owners living in the area, especially during the weekends. 

However, keep in mind that it can get noisy as it is close to a freeway. It might not be the best place for dogs who experience noise anxiety. Overall, the Rohnert Bark Dog Park at Roberts Lake is a great location for off-leash exercise and socialization but could use more benches and some landscaping to make visits more pleasant and relaxing.
