San Dimas Dog Park (at Horsethief Canyon Park)

The San Dimas Dog Park at Horsethief Canyon Park is a one-acre area designated for dogs to run off-leash. This park is beautiful and has benches for pet parents to sit and relax while their dog plays in the large fenced in area. There are separate areas for small and large dogs. 

The dog park has trees that provide shade during the hot weather days. There is also drinking water available for the dogs. You can choose to allow your dog to drink from the large community water bowl or you can bring a bowl and fill it up with the available spigot. 

The green grass and hills in the background are serene to look at while your dog runs around. There is enough space to play fetch at the dog park and exercise your pooch. It’s a great place to socialize your dog. However, aggressive behavior is not tolerated at the dog park, and owners are required to remove their aggressive dog immediately for safety reasons.

Pet owners that visit the San Dimas Dog Park at Horsethief Canyon Park must have their dog’s vaccinations up-to-date and their license tags. The tags must be attached to their dog's collar. This mandatory rule helps prevent the spread of disease and other contagious canine illnesses. 

Feces must be removed from the premises by pet parents immediately. Bring plastic doggie poop bags along when visiting this park. There are trash cans available at the park where you can dispose of the pet waste properly. 

Human or dog food is not allowed in the dog park for any reason. Pet parents are encouraged to feed their dog before arriving at the park. You also need to keep your dog on a leash until you fully enter the designated dog area and close the gate behind you. Removing the leash after the gate is shut securely is recommended. 

Overall, the San Dimas Dog Park at Horsethief Canyon Park is a beautiful dog park where your dog can get plenty of exercise and play with other dogs while you relax in the shade.
