Sanborn County Park

Sanborn County Park enjoys a breathtaking location in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The park spreads on 3,453 acres between Saratoga and Skyline Boulevard. With numerous adventure opportunities and activities, this place has a lot to offer to its visitors. Sanborn County Park is open all year long and it's the perfect place to spend your summer weekends. 

There are 22 miles of hiking trails, perfect if you want to explore the woods, observe the wildlife and enjoy the stunning vistas. If you're not an experienced hiker, you can walk down the shaded Lake Ranch Trail - a smooth path between Lake Ranch and Black Road. 

If you decide to take Fido with you on this trip, it will be even more fun. Dogs love to sniff and mark new territories, so your pup will enjoy a good hike. Keep in mind that you have to keep your furry friend on a leash during your stay at Sanborn County Park. 

If you're feeling adventurous, you can hike all the way to the Pacific Ocean, without having to leave the trail. One mile away from the central developed area of the Sanborn County Park you will find the Lake Ranch Reservoir. You can enjoy some quiet time as you watch the ducks paddle around. 

Furthermore, the park features a wide range of amenities to ensure you have a convenient stay. There are picnic tables, group areas (available by reservation) and fully equipped campgrounds for RVs. The campsite amenities include water hook-ups, electricity as well as a dump station. The camping fee is $10 per vehicle.
