Sausalito Dog Park

Sausalito-dwellers, your next great adventure awaits you and your doggo at Sausalito Dog Park! A pawsitively awesome place also sometimes referred to as Remington Dog Park, this pawpular spot was first founded in 1991 by Sausalito resident Dianne Chute who wanted a place where doggoes of all shapes and sizes could enjoy a run and some play time off-lead. 

With two runs situated on one full acre of property, your pooch can show off his very best zoomies and make some new canine pals too! If your main canine squeeze is a little on the shy side or just short of stature, there is a play area that has been set aside just for smaller doggoes. But the most pawrific news of all is, your pupperoni can trot on into the enclosures au naturel. That's right! At Sausalito Dog Park, no leashes are necessary in the play zones. But to be in compliance with California leash laws, you'll still want to bring one with you in case you venture off to explore other areas around the park. 

There are tons of woofderful things in the play areas to ensure that Fido has everything he could possibly need to pawrty on with his poochie pals. You will find the play areas are complete with water bowls, cleanup bags, and even benches where you can rest your weary bones under the shade of the bountiful trees. Be sure to pack some bottled water in case you need it. 

Feel like a picnic lunch might be just what the dog-tor ordered? Spread out a blanket or plunk your picnic basket down on one of the picnic tables and enjoy a feast with Fido and the whole fam! You are welcome to bring food items to Sausalito Dog Park, but park officials do ask that you keep an eye and put away your food if it is causing trouble between the pooches enjoying their play time. Smoking is not permitted at any time at Sausalito Dog Park.

Since this park is funded entirely be donations, any monies are gratefully received and are earmarked for park maintenance and future improvements. All doggoes visiting this spot must be current on vaccinations and in possession of an up to date city dog license.
