Abundant benches and chairs dot the play area, and many large shade trees provide cool havens for dog and human alike. Water fountains are scattered everywhere, each with its own bowls for the pups, and there's a Port-a-Potty for the 2-legged visitors. The adjacent parking lot holds more than 100 cars, so finding a place to put your vehicle won't be a problem. And while the park doesn't provide a supply of waste bags, there's a station where visitors bring bags and leave them for the next dog-human duo to use. This Use-a-Bag, Leave-a-Bag system works furtastically, and there are pooper-scoopers as well. Waste receptacles are conveniently placed throughout the park. Tables are a great choice for lap-top users, and there are even picnic areas outside the fence where your leashed fur-pup can join you for lunch!
While you relax under a tree, your pup is free to mix in with some of the packs, or just roam around and sniff solo. There is so much space here, dogs aren't forced to interact with other pooches as they might be in smaller parks. The park is closed on Fridays from 6:00 am to 11:00 am for grounds maintenance. On Sundays from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm, a low-cost pet vaccine clinic is held here as well.
If you live near this furbulous dog park, or if you're visiting the Los Angeles area, come on by with your fur-baby and enjoy! If you come on Sunday, you can stop off at the Farmers' Market just down the street!
