Simi Dog Park

This large, 3-acre dog park is nestled within Big Sky Park in the hills above Simi Valley, and features separate, double safety-gated sections for large and small dogs. Human amenities include benches for relaxing, along with 13 picnic tables, 3 of which are covered. Water bowls are scattered on the lush grass surface, and trees have been planted along the perimeter of the fence for shade. Sprinklers keep the grass thick and green, and are great for romping dogs to run through to cool off. The undulating surface provides variety, and the surrounding hills are lovely to look upon, as is the furtastic view across Simi Valley to the San Fernando Mountains on the other side.

A faucet sits outside of the fenced area and is where you can fill one of the many doggie bowls and buckets found scattered throughout the park. It's also a convenient shower location in case your pup gets muddy or grass-stained while playing. Because of the size of the park, it's more important than usual to keep an eye on your furry friend in case there's a melee. Pup waste needs to be scooped up and discarded in the waste containers, and there are clean up bags and scoops provided, so paying attention and picking up shouldn't be difficult.

Besides the spectacular views, Simi Dog Park's elevation guarantees there's a breeze, and it can in fact become quite windy, so be sure to bring a light extra layer. With 2 large parking lots and even a porta-potty for dog parents' comfort, this is a well-designed and maintained puppy playground!
