Description
Smithville Bark Park is situated in the idyllic, rural Smithville, Texas. Smithville bears the distinction of being the location used for the 90's movie Hope Floats. Characterized by its farmland and classic ranches, Smithville provides the ideal backdrop for a dog play haven. Nestled on the one acre of property are two fenced play areas suitable for off-leash activity.

Since small, senior, and shy dogs often benefit from a space of their own, one of the enclosures has been specifically designed for their use. Here, dogs of similar size, age, and personality can romp and play to their heart's content. Since off-leash play is welcomed at Smithville Bark Park, safety precautions have been put in place to ensure the well-being of all dogs enjoying the enclosures.

With this in mind, all dog owners are required to keep a leash handy in case it is needed. While dogs are permitted off-leash access in the designated off-leash zones, they must remain on lead in all other areas. The Smithville Bark Park offers entrance to their tranquil, country dog playground free of charge to the public.

The runs are well-equipped with all of the necessary amenities which make for a great day at the park. Housed within the play spaces is drinking water to ensure that Fido and his favorite pals remain well-hydrated. Also scattered throughout the grounds are benches in areas which offer shade as protection against the hot sun.

Pooper scoopers are also provided though it is unclear if complimentary poop bags are available on the grounds. Wise owners will bring extra bags with them from home to be certain they have some when needed. Bathrooms are located within nearby Railroad Park and are accessible to the public. This quiet, rural park has put in place a few rules for visitors.

Dogs visiting the play areas must be current on all vaccinations and in possession of a City of Smithville dog license. In addition to this, Smithville Bark Park prohibits food, drink, glass or metal containers, and cigarettes as well as choke, spike, prong, or pinch collars. Looking to spend a day in a tranquil, relaxing setting? Plan a trip to Smithville Bark Park!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
