Southside Park

No matter what part of Miami you plan on visiting, the city showcases a busy day and night life with no point of slowing down. This is especially true for the downtown Miami area, but thankfully there are still plenty of parks in the center of the urban muttropolis to provide a space to still get out and stretch your's and fido's legs. One of these parks is known as Southside Park, an almost 2-acre space that provide lush lawns and shade for park goers.

Parking can be found off the street along parrallel parking strips on the north and south sides of the park that then follow sidewalks to meet the inside of the park. Once inside, a dense line of trees surround the edges, creating privacy and shade for the people inside. The outer sidewalk is mostly covered in shade too, creating a nice retreat from the Miami sun while outdoors.

In the southern center of the park, there's an acre of open space available, with fresh green grass that's well taken care of. Benches line the area, creaing shaded sitting areas around other amenities such as trash bins, picnic tables, and water fountains. The north side of the park has a few other amenities, like a basketball court, a small playground, and a fieldhouse that offers activities throughout the years. A small concrete path connects all these features. The small pathway is also surrounded by trees and grassy terrain on all sides and birds can often be heard chirping away in the trees, whether you're in the field playing or enjoying a nice walk along the sidewalk. Be sure to bring water and clean up bags with you.

Even in the center of Miami you and Fido will no doubt find the green retreat of Southside Park to your liking, with amenities suited for both you and your pup and a wide open space available to run, play, or just go for a nice stroll.
