The dog park is in the larger park of Summerfield Park, a nice green recreational park along Main Canal, with sights of the flowing water and agricultural fields to the west. After parking, you can enjoy access to restrooms, water fountains, benches, and trash bins along the paved trail leading to the dog run which is on the north side of the park. Once at the dog run, you'll enjoy a double gated entrance area that connects to the small dog and large dog area, and be able to take off that leash!
Both areas are covered with well-maintained grass, with trees bordering the north part of the dog park that provide lots of shade. Inside the entrance area, you'll see benches, a rules board, clean-up stations, and a trash bin, and once inside the fenced-in dog areas, you'll find nighttime lights, clean-up stations, and water fountains fitted for humans and pups. There is also fire hydrant statues for pups to enjoy in both enclosures and a paved area with extra benches for sitting while your pup plays.
The park is relatively quiet during the day, with few visitors to the dog park, but during the later afternoon hours, you'll find more activities and chances to socialize your pup. No matter what time you pick to come, you'll enjoy the open and calm surroundings of the space that offer plenty of amenities and space for your pup to play in.
