The Sycamore Valley Open Space off-leash dog area is a designated dog park for pet parents to enjoy with their pets. You can easily find the area by taking Camino Tassajara to Holbrook Drive. There is convenient parking in the staging area. The designated area is undeveloped and doesn’t have a fence surrounding the perimeter.
Make sure your dog is trained to return to you with a verbal queue or whistle. Otherwise, you should keep your dog on a leash and explore the park together. The park is beautiful and has a natural scenery that helps you relax and get away from the everyday rush.
There are ball fields and hiking trails located nearby, but dogs are not allowed in those areas. Owners are allowed to enter the park with up to three dogs at a time, and they all must have collars and tags. Proof of vaccination and licensing is required to visit this dog park.
Pet parents are responsible for their dog's behavior when visiting the park. Aggression towards others is not allowed, and hostile dogs need to be removed from the area for safety reasons. Owners need to carry doggie poop bags to clean up after their dog.
Be prepared to hold onto the bag until you reach a trash can in the area. You should also bring along fresh water and a portable dog bowl to keep your dog hydrated. This beautiful dog park has endless green grass, hills, and trees. There is a skinny dirt walking path that brings you through the park.
This is a good hike, and it is very relaxing. You can also play an awesome game of fetch with your dog which helps provide plenty of exercise. Overall, this is an excellent dog park you can visit frequently. Your dog will enjoy the freedom to run off-leash, and you will be captivated by the amazing scenery.
