Shows and country music are what comes to mind when folks hear the word Branson. But did you know there is also a beautiful state park just minutes away from all the excitement? Table Rock State Park is a pawsome park nestled on the shores of Table Rock Lake. It is a popular spot for pets and their families to explore or rest at after a busy day of traveling.
Clip on your pal’s leash and head out on one of the
furrific trails. For a short but sweet hike, hop on Chinquapin Trail. It is
just 1.5 miles, but it gives your pup a great lay of the land since it passes
major points in the park and wanders into the Ozark woodlands. If your doggo
wants a waterfront hike, opt for Table Rock Lakeshore Trail. Not only will they
get up close views of the lake, but they may even see a bald eagle or osprey
out for a hunt.
Since it hugs Table Rock Lake, the park is a water sports
hub. The State Park Marina rents ski boats, paddle boats, scuba diving
equipment, and more. With its superb picnic facilities, many families make
Table Rock State Park a quiet place to relax and enjoy a light lunch prior to
moving on to their next big Branson attraction.
If you want to mix a bit of nature with your Branson
visit, set up camp at Table Rock State Park. RV and tent sites are both
available. If your pooch is feeling a fancy, reserve one of the platform tents
and try a bit of glamping. Since the area is pretty busy, it’s wise to reserve
your spot in advance. Don’t forget to carry some clean up bags and always stoop
and scoop.
No bones about it, your dog will go mutts over this
place!
