The Boneyard Off-Leash Dog Park is located within the Culver City Park in Culver City, California. It was opened in April 2006 and has since become a popular place for dog owners in the neighborhood. The dog park can be found right in the middle of the city park, which is also home to a skatepark and various sports fields.
The one-acre dog run is the perfect place for off-leash fun, exercise, and socialization. It is divided into two separate areas, one section for big dog breeds (over 25 lbs) while the other enclosure accommodates smaller breeds and timid dogs. Both areas are equipped with several strategically placed benches, water fountains, and shaded areas that allow both owners and their canine companions to remain comfortable, cool, and hydrated. Although bowls are provided, they can get dusty so feel free to bring your own.Â
The Boneyard Off-Leash Dog Park's surface is made up of dirt and sand, so playtime can get muddy during the rainy days. It has a simple layout that is mostly flat with a slightly sloping hill. There is also a beautiful city view that can be seen from the dog run. The dog park is well-lit which is great considering it is open until 10 PM.Â
The park is surrounded by a tall fence and has a double-gated entry system that prevents canines from slipping out as others enter the park. In addition to the above, there are covered trash cans located inside and outside of the off-leash areas and pooper-scoopers that encourage owners to clean up after their four-legged companions.
The Boneyard Off-Leash Dog Park is a great place to visit with your canine buddy, especially if you live in the area. However, coming by car won’t be an issue either as there is plenty of parking close to the dog park. The regular patrons are said to be very welcoming and your furball will always have someone to play with at this popular, well-maintained dog park.
