Description
Thousand Hills State Park is a beautiful addition to the Missouri community. Located on the cooling waters of Forest Lake, this park will provide you with everything that you may be looking for. This state park was formed millions of years ago by past glaciers that moved through this area.

The glaciers flattened the land and formed the Thousand Hills State Park by revealing a fresh layer of soil. Now, this park is known for its rich landscape that supplies visitors with immense beauty each day. When you come to visit this state park, you will find many different amenities that are available for your enjoyment.

At Thousand Hills State Park, you can partake in many water activities like swimming, boating, and fishing. You will also find availability for hiking, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, and so much more. Dogs can come to this park, but they must remain on a six-foot-long leash during their entire stay.

During your stay, you must follow the rules and regulations that are implemented by the Missouri State Parks System. Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the park, and female pooches in heat and young pups under four months old must remain back at home.

Dogs must be well-mannered before they come to Thousand Hills State Park as this park does not tolerate any aggressive behavior, and humans must clean up and watch over their dogs while they are here. Pet parents should also bring water and dog bags for all of their fun adventures in this park.

If you wish to camp at Thousand Hills State Park, you must schedule a reservation. Reservations can be made on the park's main website or in the park's main office. If you have a chance to visit Thousand Hills State Park, you will have the time of your life so come on down today with your friends, your family, and your favorite pup.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
