The Tierra Este Dog Park, which is also known as the Pebble Hills Dog Park, is a public dog park located in El Paso, Texas. It can be found on the east end of the Pebble Hills Community Park. This awesome dog park opened in April 2011 and has since become a popular location for canine fun and socialization.Â
It is three acres in size and offers more than enough room for dogs to stretch their legs and get their daily dose of leash-free exercise in a safe, securely fenced and double-gated environment. The Tierra Este Dog Park has a well thought out layout that includes two separate areas for dogs to roam around and play in with their canine buddies.Â
The off-leash area also features agility equipment that dogs can train on. There are a few trees growing around the park but not enough to provide enough shade for all of the park’s patrons. There are complementary plastic bags, though due to the Tierra Este Dog Park’s popularity, they often run out. There are trees growing in and around the dog park which cast a good amount of shade for dogs to cool off in.Â
However, since there are is just one water fountain located outside the gate of the dog park dog owners will need to bring their own bowls or supply to make sure their four-legged family members remain hydrated during their visit. Bringing a lawn chair or a folding chair is recommended too, especially if you end up spending more than an hour at the Tierra Este Dog Park.Â
There are no benches available in the off-leash areas which makes supervising your pooch uncomfortable for long periods of time. On the plus side, there is a spacious parking lot nearby making the dog park easily accessible and thus good for shorter visits too. There's a paved walking trail that leads to the Tierra Este Dog Park from the parking lot, making the off-leash area ADA accessible.Â
