Trancas Canyon Park

Nestled in the beautiful hills of western Malibu, you can find a true puppy paradise, the Trancas Canyon Park. This hidden gem is rarely crowded, and yet has something in it for everybody. With the wild salty ocean air and gorgeous views right from the park, you’re sure to find some peace and relaxation here. Possibly your pup’s favorite part, will be that there is a separate fenced-off dog park!

This dog park provides a safe and spacious area for doggos to enjoy some pawsitive socialization, and burn off some energy. The surface is made up of rocks and sand. There is a dirt hill that dogs love running up and down, and you’re guaranteed a tuckered out pup after that kind of exercise! The fenced-off area is double gated to ensure safety. Waste bags, trash receptacles, and doggy drinking water is provided. All you need is your dog’s favorite ball to throw! There is even agility equipment that Fido can test his skills on.

If your dog doesn’t dig the gravel surface within the dog park, they are welcome to join you on the expansive grassy areas as long as they stay leashed. The park features picnic tables and a gazebo where you can kick back and relax. Some other features of this park include a massive play structure, water fountains, athletic fields, restrooms, and ample parking. All of this is within beautiful surroundings.

Please ensure that your pooch is picked up after at all times. Keep a close eye on your dog that they maintain proper petiquette so that this can remain a safe haven for everyone. Because of extreme fire danger, smoking, barbecues, and any open flames are not allowed. The park is open daily until 7 p.m. or dusk, whichever is earlier.
