Tucker's Grove Dog Park (at Kiwanis Meadows)

The Tucker’s Grove Dog Park located at Kiwanis Meadows in Galeta is a large fenced-in area designated for dogs to run off-leash. The ground has gravel and grass located sporadically throughout the park which provides a variety of terrain for dogs to enjoy. 

There are trees aligned on the fence that provides shade for dogs and pet parents. Benches and picnic tables are located in various areas around the park to allow dog owners to relax as they watch their dog play. The park provides drinking water for the dogs and a community water bowl. Owners that prefer for their dog to have their own bowl needs to bring one along from home. 

Dogs need to have a license and vaccinations tag on their collar when visiting the Tucker’s Grove Dog Park. This assures other pet parents the dogs visiting this park are healthy. Another mandatory park rule involves cleaning up after your dog. Bring along doggie poop bags and dispose of them in the available trash cans immediately to assure the park remains clean. 

Dogs usually enjoy socializing and playing with each other. However, some dogs become territorial and aggressive at the park. Dogs that exhibit aggressive behavior need to leave the designated dog park area immediately for safety reasons. 

If this happens, pet parents need to put their dog on a leash and remove their dog. You can return another day when the park isn’t busy and to attempt to socialize your dog properly. You have plenty of space at the park, and you can play a good game of fetch with your dog. 

Be prepared for other dogs to join the fun on busy dog park days. Dogs that are territorial with their toys should not play around other dogs. Overall, the Tucker’s Grove Dog Park is a friendly dog park that is safe and allows your dog to run off-leash in a fenced-in environment.
