This private state park does charge a $6 admission fee, and offers many great amenities for families to enjoy. In the months of June and July each year, Vasona County Park proudly hosts a series of free outdoor concerts. Also housed on the premises is the Youth Science Institute which offers programs to help young people learn more about the resources indigenous to the region. Some of the most popular activities found in the park are fishing, biking, hiking, picnicking, horseshoes, and volleyball. Paddle boats and rowboats are available for rent in season. The on-premise lake is an anglers' paradise and teems with black bass, crappie, bluegill, and catfish. The property is also home to several bathrooms where owners can procure drinking water to ensure Fido has access to cool drink when needed. Disposable pooper scoopers are provided on the grounds, and owners are asked to make use of them to clean up after their pets.
California law requires all dogs visiting public spaces to be current on vaccinations and in possession of an up to date city dog license. For a day of fun in the California sun, bring Fido and the family to Vasona County Park!
