Vineyard Dog Park

The Vineyard Dog Park is located in the lovely town of Templeton, California. The vision of a group of dog owners, local businessmen, and community volunteers, Vineyard Dog Park was built with funds from generous donors. Situated on the grounds are two fully fenced dog play areas separated out by a fence into a section for small dogs and one for large dogs. 

Though off-leash activity is the primary focus of this dog playground, safety measures must be observed to ensure the well-being of all dogs enjoying the dog runs. Park officials require that all owners maintain ready access to a leash. Additionally, when not in the designated off-leash areas, all dogs must remain on a lead. 

Vineyard Dog Park operates on a small budget comprised largely of donations and fundraising efforts. Though this park is considered a public play space, park officials do request that all owners visiting the park pay a daily fee of $1 or purchase a membership at the cost of $25 for the year. These funds are allocated for park improvements and needed maintenance. 

Vineyard Dog Park is well-renowned for its picturesque views of verdant hills decorated with lush oak trees. The enclosures themselves are equipped with all of the things necessary for a great day at the dog park. Water is provided in both play spaces to ensure that Fido and his friends have a place to quench their thirst. Benches are also sprinkled liberally throughout the grounds in areas with shade from plentiful trees. 

Picnic tables are available for those wishing to enjoy a light lunch during their visit to the park. Also housed on the grounds is a wading pool where dogs can enjoy a refreshing dip. For a vigorous game of fetch, why not make use of the on-site tennis rackets and balls to get in a good workout? Poop bags are also available on the premises. 

It is the responsibility of all owners to dispose of all canine waste materials properly. The runs are lined with wood chips which provide traction which is easy on canine joints. Though there are no officially posted rules at Vineyard Dog Park, vaccinations are always an excellent idea.
