West Kendall Dog Park

The West Kendall Dog Park, also known as West Kendall District Park, is located in Miami, Florida. This dedicated dog playground is one of five Miami-Dade regional dog parks and is the newest jewel in its crown. Housed on 6.5 acres, this dog play space is home to two fully fenced runs where off-leash exercise and proper socialization is encouraged. 

To ensure that dogs who are small, timid, and elderly have a place where the play is better suited to their specific needs, one of the enclosures has been designed and reserved specifically for their use. Though off-leash activity is the focus of this particular dog play space, proper safety precautions must be observed. All owners are required to have a lead in their possession at all times. To comply with Miami by-laws, dogs not in designated off-leash zones must also remain leashed. 

West Kendall Dog Park, a public dog play haven, is open to all pooches and their people free of charge. The runs were designed with all of the amenities necessary for a great day at the dog park including agility equipment, water fountains suitable for drinking, sprinklers for cooling off on hot days, a fabric awning to provide respite from the heat, and pooper scoopers and poop bags. 

Also found in the runs is picnic style seating. Here, owners can relax and enjoy watching their dogs having fun with their favorite canine pals. It is important to know that the responsibility for all pet waste removal lies with each owner. Bathrooms for public use are housed on the grounds. There is also a paved walkway where owners and their dogs can take a leisurely stroll. 

West Kendall Dog Park has not placed any expectations upon those who visit their lovely dog playground. However, Miami legislation requires that all dogs be current on vaccinations. A city dog license is also mandated by the state of Florida. Tags showing proof of both should be clearly evidenced on each dog's collar.
