If your pooch has some pent up energy to burn, load ‘em up and make your way over to Ron Raetz Dog Park. Even though it sits across the street from it, this furrific off leash area is actually a part of the much larger Westside Community Park. Its name pays homage to the man that helped make this doggy play area possible. Four paws up for Ron Raetz!
Unclip your pal’s leash and let them run free in this
fully fenced dog park. They’ll have plenty of room to dart and dash around.
Bring their favorite ball for a lively game of fetch or just let them sniff
around on their own. They’ll love mixing and mingling with new four legged
playmates. Since the turf is mostly grass, your pup will have great traction as
they run around. Plus, they won’t go home covered in mud. And a small dog area is available. So if you have a
petite pooch, they can enjoy the park at their own pace.
When they are finished romping around the dog park, leash up your pup and visit the main area of Westside Community Park. It still has
several phases to be completed, so the park is a work in progress. But you and
your furry friend can still stroll around the paths and check out what’s
happening. It will give them a chance to
cool down after playing.Â
While there are a few young trees, most of the park is out in the open. Be sure to bring plenty of water for your dog. After all that running around, the only thing they’ll want is a long cold drink of water. Don’t forget to have a couple clean up bags on hand and pick up whatever your pup puts down. No bones about it, Ron Raetz Dog Park will make your dog’s tail wag!
