Willow Oaks Dog Park

Willow Oaks Dog Park is a public, off-leash dog park located in Menlo Park, California. This enclosed park is one of the most popular parks in the area for several reasons. It is very well-maintained, clean, mostly covered by grass, and it is situated in a convenient location by an elementary school, tennis courts, and even a baseball field.

Dog waste bag dispensers and plenty of trash cans make it easy to clean up after your dog, which the majority of the patrons make sure to do. Unfortunately, there is no separate dog area for smaller dogs, and both large and small breeds share the same oval-shaped enclosure. 

On the plus side, there is a double-gated entrance that prevents other dogs from slipping out while you unleash or unharness your pooch. There are no water fountains so make sure to bring your own water and bowl. In case you forget, don’t worry as the park goers are very friendly and will gladly share some of their own with your furball if asked.

The park is very well-designed and provides plenty of room for dogs to run and play, surrounded by nature in a safe environment. Thanks to the nearby tennis courts, tennis balls are spread out across this somewhat sloped dog park for your canine companion and his four-legged buddies to play with. Though the park rarely gets crowded, it does get busy on the sunny days and parking can be a problem.

This simple, no-frills dog park is equipped with all the basics needed for your canine to have a good time and get the daily exercise he needs. However, keep in mind that there is only one enclosure that is shared by a variety of breeds (mostly medium to large) and do not forget to bring your own water bottle or two.
