Woof Pac Dog Park is a public dog park located at the Waller Park in Santa Maria, California. In addition to the dog park, the 153-acre Waller Park is home to several ball fields, sports courts, playgrounds, shaded picnic areas, and two gorgeous lakes with fountains. The town park also features public restrooms and a variety of walking, hiking and biking trails.
The three-acre Woof Pac Dog Park can be found at the back of the park, by the baseball courts on the west side. This securely- fenced and double-gated dog area provides tons of room for canines to roam in and explore with their four-legged buddies without a leash. The dog park has a well-thought-out layout that is made up of two separate areas for dogs to enjoy.
There is a special section for canines under 35 pounds so that owners of small, elderly, or timid dogs will not have to worry about their furballs getting trampled. The WOOF PAC Dog Park at Waller Park has a good amount of shade from the numerous trees growing in and around the off-leash section. The park's terrain is grassy which dogs love, even though it can turn playtime muddy fast.
Fortunately, there is a dog washing station that owners can use to clean their dogs before heading home, just make sure to pack a towel for your dog's paws. The WOOF PAC Dog Park at Waller Park is also equipped with several well-placed trash cans, free waste bag dispensers that are always filled and readily available pooper scoopers that help encourage everyone to clean up after their dogs.
The dog park features drinking stations for both dogs and their owners, as well as several benches that owners can relax on as they watch their pooches play. Plus, if you end up spending an entire day at this well-maintained dog park, fear not as public restrooms are conveniently located nearby. There is plenty of room to park your car too. However, since the parking lot is not directly located by the off-leash area, it is a bit of a walk from the dog park.
