Description
As the name implies, Clear Creek Trail follows along both sides of the meandering Clear Creek. On your travels, you'll come across some scenic parks and lakes, including Prospect Lake, Tabor Lake, and West Lake. At Prospect Park, you won't want to miss out on the paved loop trail that encircles Prospect Lake. Clear Creek Trail and Prospect Lake Loop combine to form just under 7 miles of trail. These trails are pawpular among doggos and their humans, and Clear Creek Trail was even recently designated a National Recreation Trail.

There are several trailheads located within parks where you can start your adventures, such as at Creekside Park, Johnson Park, Anderson Park and Prospect Park. At Prospect Park, you'll not only find the lovely trail that loops around the lake, but all the other amenities necessary to make a neighborhood park great. These include parking, playgrounds, a variety of  athletic fields, restrooms, and  picnic areas. This is a great place for your pup to rest their paws while you relax and enjoy the greenery.

The portion of the trail located on the north side of Clear Creek is mostly paved surface, ideal for cyclists. The south side is mostly natural surface, great for foot and paw traffic. Along the way, you'll come across three pretty bridges that cross over the creek. There are multiple side trails to be found near the lakes that you and your pooch can explore to fulfill your sense of adventure. This area is teeming with wildlife, which you can enjoy by means of a boardwalk and bird viewing blind. If you're lucky, you may be able to see wild cormorants, hawks, red-winged black birds, geese, muskrats, and beavers.

The trails and parks welcome doggos with both paws, and you're likely to meet other furry friends along the way! Please keep your pal leashed and picked up after, making sure to bring clean up bags, and water to share too!

Clear Creek Trail and Prospect Lake Loop are puppy pleasers every time!
