Description

If you're looking for a fun trail to check out with your pawesome pal, Gravity Car Road Trail in Mill Valley, California is a must! It's part of Mount Tamalpais State Park. This trail is only two miles long, which makes it a great option for hikers who want to work their way up to longer trails. Weather along the trail is usually pretty nice, with highs in the upper 70s or lower 80s; the lows are usually in the mid-50s. Shade is common along parts of the trail, but you might want to wear some sunscreen just to play it safe.

The trail is a loop trail, but it varies a bit from traditional loop trails. Unlike most loop trails, where the entire trail is circular, most of the trail is in-and-back with a smaller loop at the end. Don't be surprised when you end up on the same path you came in on; you didn't get lost!

Fido is allowed to join you on the trail, but there are some rules you both have to follow to have a pawsitive experience! Make sure your pup stays on a leash for the duration of your hike. Honestly, the shorter the leash, the better. With all the wildlife in the park, it's a good idea to keep your dog as close to your side as pawssible. You're also expected to clean up after your pup, but no waste bags are provided along the trail, so please bring some from home. The good news is that water is provided for you along the trail, so if you bring along a collapsible dog bowl or one made for traveling, it'll be easy to make sure your pooch stays hydrated.

Gravity Car Road Trail is a short loop trail located in Tamalpais State Park, and if you're looking`for somewhere new to explore with Fido, it can't be beat!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
