Description
Moab Slickrock Bike Trail is a gorgeous, world famous mountain biking trail. You don't have to mount up to explore the majesty of Utah's desert. You're welcome to take your leashed dog into the Sand Flats Recreation Area and tackle one of the most stressful trails out there. You're going to want to keep your dog on leash. Leaving aside how dangerous it would be if you and your pup got separated, you want to make sure you both can stay clear of the cyclists on the path!

It's easy to stay on Moab Slickrock Bike Trail. Your trip along the path will be guided by a painted white line! This line leads you through confusing uphills and downhills, and makes it easier for you to navigate this beautiful, but difficult trail. The true loop starts 2.5 miles into your hike. You'll head clockwise around the loop and wind up back at that 2.5 mile stretch on the other end! This path is chock full of hills. They're steep and grueling, but thankfully not too tall! You'll want to watch your footing more carefully on your way down than your way up, as losing your footing could mean a tumble!

It's a good idea to be sure you're conditioned before tackling this trail. This applies to your pup as well. If you're a couple of city slickers, this is going to be a challenging hike! It's rated as a double black diamond for cyclists, and walking is challenging as well. Bring things that are going to make your trip easier. Drinks and snacks will have to be packed in with you. Make sure you have a great camera as well, because the views don't get better than from the rocky outcroppings that make this trail unique!

Moab Slickrock Bike Trail is a furrific, challenging hike for experienced hikers!
