Towner's Woods

Towner's Woods is a 234-acre park in Kent, Ohio with a variety of activities to enjoy on its grounds. Visitors can picnic, hike, sled, or cross-country ski in the park, and it's also dog-friendly if your dog remains on a leash. Locals note that the park is pawpular with dog walkers, so you and Fido are sure to sniff out some new pup pals!

The trail was recently updated to include more accurate trail markers, but some visitors still use their phones for navigation along the trail. Park rules dictate guests are supposed to stay on the paved trail at all times for their own safety and to protect the park. Horses, bikes, and motor vehicles are forbidden along the trail, so it'll just be you and other dog walkers during your trek. 

On the Towner's Woods Trail, you'll find a variety of interesting places to stop, as well as several convenient features to make your hike more enjoyable. There are benches situated all along the length of the path, and there are also water fountains, but be sure to bring a bowl to fill for your pet. Some of the trail's other features include restrooms, gazebos, picnic shelters, and grills. 

No matter how many times you visit the Towner's Woods trail, you'll find all sorts of different hiking options on the trail. There are different ways to branch off on the trail or to make your hike easier or more strenuous, but the inclines tend to be rather gentle. 

Other than bugs and squirrels, you aren't likely to see much wildlife. You'll get to enjoy several plant species on your journey, and your dog will find all sorts of places to stop and sniff.
