Description

How about heading out with your fur-ever friend on a great hiking adventure today? The Warriors’ Path State Park Mountain Bike Trails are a great choice in the city of Kingsport, Tennessee.

This fur-iendly system of trails offers hikers and mountain bikers a great day full of fun on multiple paths. These trails are located in a 150-acre parcel of land within the Warriors’ Path State Park. Pick up the trailhead to the system at the end of Freeman Road, where you will find a kiosk of informative maps and information about the experiences you will encounter here. There are a variety of treks you can take to complete this 8.3-mile journey.

The easy-rated choices are the Zipline Loop or the Whitetail Loop. Either one will offer you and your pawtastic pup a trek through the forest on dirt paths. You might encounter wildlife and scores of native trees and scrubs. The trails intermingle with each other, so plan to stop by the visitor’s center in the park for a detailed map, which is located just 5 miles before the trailhead parking lot.

For a much more difficult hike, Darwin’s Revenge or Boneyard Trail are each 1.9 miles in length and are considered advanced. Steep slopes, lots of rocks and challenging dirt terrain can wear you and your pup out! Offer Fido lots of breaks here to rest his paws.

The trails will be traversed on a single track in a clockwise direction. Be sure to keep your furry friend on a leash at all times for his and others safety as these are shared trails. Pack lots of water and snacks for this hike.

Your day will be off to a great start with a hike on the Warrior’s Path State Park Mountain Bike Trails.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
