Fortunately, most walking destinations are a short trip for pedestrians from Tudor City, as New York weather can be inclement, cold, and rainy in winter and hot and humid in summer. Residents with pets who walk the neighborhood may get a bit damp and need to be prepared for the various weather conditions.
The complex contains shaded park areas for 'resident Rovers' and their people to enjoy that are also open to the public. Tudor Park-Greens has several recreational fields and facilities, paved pathways, and large beautifully landscaped gardens and lawns. Ralph Bunche Park is located east of Tudor City and this pedestrian plaza has many shady trees and a 50-foot obelisk paying homage to the Nobel Peace Prize winner of the same name.
The Robert Moses Playground is located on the east river and contains basketball and handball courts, a playground, and an enclosed dog run! Locals can let their dogs play off-leash in this safely fenced area.
Glick Park and the East River Esplanade create a greenway right along the East River shoreline to enjoy the waterfront views. St. Vartan Park is located just south of Tudor City and features a larger 2.76-acre property with trees and paved pathways where you can walk your dog or rest in the shade.
