Bluffview is a small, residential neighborhood located in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas. It is six and a half miles northwest of the downtown area. Located immediately adjacent to the Dallas Love Field Airport, Bluffview is mostly composed of residential spaces and has very few commercial buildings. Commercially, Bluffview is home to a few convenience stores, chain restaurants, an elementary school, and bridal shop. Unfortunately, there are no dog-related businesses in Bluffview, however, there is a pet supply store immediately to the east and an animal clinic to the northwest of the neighborhood. Residentially, Bluffview is home to upper-middle-class families in standalone, single-family homes.

Bluffview and the greater Dallas community will have hot, humid summers with temperatures often reaching 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The winters are more mild and relatively cool without being too cold or frigid. Dallas, located at the end of Tornado Alley, can sometimes experience tornados, hail storms, and other extreme weather.

As a suburban neighborhood, Bluffview is mostly artificial terrain with a few manicured greenways throughout. Thankfully, this also means most of this residential community has a well-maintained sidewalk, so you and Fido are safe on your daily walks. Additionally, in terms of terrain, Bluffview has quite a few hills. Specifically, as you walk towards the southeast boundaries of the neighborhood, you and Fido may experience noticeable increases in elevation.

The boundaries of Bluffview include West Northwest Highway to the north, Dallas North Tollway to the east, West Lovers Lane to the south, and Lemmon Avenue to the west. Inwood Road and Midway Road are other major roadways that go through Bluffview. You may wish to avoid these areas as they will be more congested and traffic will be moving at higher-speeds. Finally, in the southeast corner of Bluffview, there is a popular shopping complex with a grocery store, theater, and smaller shops that will cause increased traffic and congestion.

Lucky for you and Fido, there are four greenways located in the Bluffview neighborhood. First, there are three smaller parks located directly in the residential communities. Bluff View Park, Field Frazier Park, and Midway Manor Park have playgrounds and some small sitting areas. While there are no walking trails or off-leash areas, these are still great places if Fido needs a quick pit-stop in a grassy area.

The largest greenway in Bluffview is Bachman Lake Park. This greenway also extends into neighboring communities along with Bachman Lake itself. This 205-acre park has a three mile walking and biking trail, access to water recreation, and a picnicking and general recreation area. This is the perfect option for you and your pup if you need a longer, more leisurely walk or if Fido has extra energy they need to burn off!

Other nearby greenways include Goar Park, Williams Park, Lakeside Park, Davis Park, Prather Park, and Grauwyler Park,
