Collins Garden is located north of the Cleto Rodriguez Freeway, west of Interstate 35 and Interstate 10, and southeast of Frio City Road which runs at an angle on the neighborhood's northwest border. Most of the area is residential with commercial areas along main thoroughfares in the district.

There is also a tennis court and an outdoor gym, a play structure, and traditional basketball courts that visitors can enjoy. On one end of the park, a pavilion covers a basketball court providing shade to players. There are even picnic tables to take a break at and have a snack while enjoying the park with your pup.
