Ollie Fresh Pet Food is a little different from other dog foods on the market. You won’t find it on the shelves of your local pet store — instead, you’ll order Fido’s food on the Ollie Fresh Pet Food website. Four recipes are available through Ollie:
- Hearty Beef Eats
- Healthy Turkey Feast
- Chicken Goodness
- Tasty Lamb Fare
This subscription service delivers frozen food packets to your door according to the schedule you set. The default shipping schedule is once every 8 weeks, but you can customize delivery frequency in your MyOllie account.
To get started, provide your name and email address, then provide a few details about your pup, including their:
- Current weight
- Ideal weight (optional)
- Spay/neuter status
- Body type: Lean, ideal, round
- Activity level: Not very active, pretty active, hyper
- Current food (dry, wet, raw, etc.)
After providing these details, you’ll receive a custom meal plan complete with portions tailored to your dog’s unique nutritional needs. On this screen, you can choose which recipes you’d like to order, adjust your dog’s daily portion size, view ingredients lists and nutrition facts, and read answers to FAQs.
When you receive your order, you’ll need to refrigerate it by midnight on the same day. Once refrigerated, Ollie recipes stay good for 4 days (opened and unopened). Ollie food is freezer-safe, too. Just defrost your pup’s food in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours before serving.
The cost of Ollie Fresh Pet Food depends on the quantity and recipe(s) you choose, as well as your pet’s meal plan. At the time of writing, new customers get 20% off their first 2-week starter box order, which comes with 14 packs of food, a pet food storage container and scoop, and a custom feeding guide. First responders and medical personnel receive a 50% discount on their first 3 boxes, but must provide ID verification.
According to the Ollie website, the cost of food for a small dog starts at $3 per day. We went through the motions of signing up for a 2-week starter box for a 5-year old, 20-pound female spayed dog whose breed was unknown. Here are the prices Ollie quoted us:
- Hearty Beef Eats: $21.59/week with discount ($26.99 full price)
- Healthy Turkey Feast: $24.83/week with discount ($31.04 full price)
- Chicken Goodness: $24.46/week with discount ($28.07 full price)
- Tasty Lamb Fare: $24.40/week ($30.50 full price)
- All 4 recipes: $23.32/week ($29.15 full price)
These prices were for a 100% daily portion of Ollie food. If your pup eats smaller portions, you’ll pay less. Shipping is free, so the price you see at checkout is the price you get!
Ollie’s custom recipes are suitable for dogs of all ages, including puppies. All of Ollie’s recipe’s meet the Association of American Feed Control Officials’ (AAFCO) Nutrient Profiles for all life stages.
Because Ollie’s meal plans are customized for your dog’s nutritional needs, they’re suitable for all breeds, even large dogs over 70 pounds.
Ollie is transparent about the quality of its ingredients and food preparation policies. The company sources meat from human-grade and free-range farms across the US and Australia.
Cooked at low temperatures in small batches, each recipe is hand-packed at Ollie’s New Jersey facility and shipped in regular intervals based on the pet parent’s delivery schedule.
The ingredients vary depending on the recipe. Meat sources include beef, turkey, chicken, and lamb. Organ meats are used as well as whole cuts. Every Ollie recipe is also chock full of fruits and veggies like sweet potatoes, butternut squash, blueberries, spinach, and kale. Grains include chickpeas and rice. A dash of rosemary and basil adds a little extra flavor to Fido's food and also helps keep their breath fresh.

Ollie Fresh Pet Food boasts glowing reviews from pet parents, veterinarians, and major news outlets. Positive reviews from pet parents mention improved digestion, fewer allergies, less itching, and healthier coat. Many pet parents also said their dogs loved the taste of the food. Less enthusiastic reviews cited cost and delivery and customer service issues.
Is Ollie Fresh Pet Food right for my dog?
While there’s no doubt Ollie uses fresh ingredients from human-grade farms, every dog has different nutritional needs. What might improve one dog’s coat could upset another’s stomach. When transitioning your pup to a new dog food, be sure to take it slow.
