Barks and Brews
This event is hosted by the United Dog Rescue and takes place at the Funky Buddha Brewery in Oakland Park, Florida. All of the proceeds from the event go to helping the shelter and the dogs who so desperately need medical attention and care. Enjoy a night out with delicious local beer and drinks, and you get to bring your pups along to enjoy this special night with you! Stay tuned for dates for this year!36
Annual Doggy Fun Fest
On a day in February at Jaco Pastorius Park join in on the fun at Annual Doggy Fun Fest! There will be a cornhole tournament, a bounce house for kids, and the Doggy Fun Zone. This is a dog-specific obstacle course that your pup will be sure to have a blast doing. Plus, your pup will get to meet and a ton of new doggy friends and sniff a lot of butts! Proceeds from this event will go to help local rescues, pet shelters, and the rotary community projects. Donations are suggested.24
Annual Struttin' for Strays
The Annual Struttin' for Strays is being held in February before the Doggy Fun Fest. It is held at the same location. This is a 1.25-mile walk with your pup through downtown Oakland Park! Registration begins at 9:30 am at Jaco Park. This is a great way to start the day with your dog before Doggy Fest begins, so they can get some of their energy out before all of the festivities. Proceeds from this event will go to help local shelter and rescue animals and go to rotary club events as well! Donations are suggested.12
