Pfurry Splash Party
Treat your furry friend to a summer pool-pawty at this paw-some annual event! Hosted by Pflugerville Parks and Recreation and Pflugerville Animal Shelter, the Pfurry Splash Party gives your pet a chance to hit the water with his canine pals. Your pooch will love playing and frolicking in the cool water with a host of other dogs, while you’ll have just as much fun watching your pet have a grrr-eat time! There’s also a raffle on the day to benefit Friends of the Pflugerville Animal Shelter. It all takes place at Scott Mentzer Pool, with admission at $5 per dog plus one owner.

If you’re looking for a family-friendly day full of fun you can enjoy with the most important member of the family — your dog, of course — then check out the Woofstock Pet Pfest! Hosted by the Pflugerville Animal Shelter, this woof-tastic festival promises a day full of entertainment and relaxation for dogs and their people. Your friendly pet is more than welcome to attend, and can even dress in his or her best hippie costume to enter the Hippie Hound Costume Contest. Other highlights include pet product vendors, adoptable animals, food trucks, live entertainment, and heaps more. Best of all, admission won’t cost you a thing!

If you love exercising with your dog and you want to do something to help pets in need, the annual Dog Jog could be just what you’re looking for! Held at Pfluger Park in November, this dog-friendly dash benefits Pflugerville Pets Alive! and its mission to save the lives of local companion animals. You and your dog can run the competitive 5K or jog/walk the 1-mile Dog Jog course at your own pace, with plenty of grrr-eat prizes on offer for all fitness levels! The event is followed by a pet fair boasting heaps of vendors, a pet costume contest, silent auction, and plenty more doggy activities. Why not add it to your diary for next year?

Enjoy all the festive fun of a Mardi Gras celebration with your canine companion at this highly-anticipated Austin event! For one pet-acular afternoon and evening in February, Austin’s pooches get together for a joyous, family-friendly paw-ty that’s always loads of fun. All dogs dressed in costume can join the parade and “bark for beads”, and the parade is truly a sight to behold for all dog lovers! This dog-friendly day, hosted by Austin Pets Alive!, is a chance for you to celebrate your pooch and help more pets in need find fur-ever homes. Throughout the afternoon, you and your pet can enjoy the QuickDraw photo booth, shop for pet products from vendors, win some grrr-eat prizes, and share your rescue pet story.
