Fort Mountain State Park
Speaking of Fort Mountain, this beautiful state park has over 3,000 acres of beautiful Cohutta Wilderness to explore. Fort Mountain State Park is just a 20-minute drive away from the center of Chatsworth. Here, you’ll find hiking trails that show off the remarkable views of Fort Mountain. The Fort Mountain Lake Trail, for example, is pawfect for Fido! Along with 1.1 miles of short, mostly flat trails, you can enjoy a lush green tunnel that flourishes beautifully in the spring. For overnight stays, you can pitch a tent in one of the campgrounds, but be sure pups stay on a leash shorter than 6 feet while in the park.36

Cloudland Canyon State Park
About 60 miles west of Chatsworth and just a few minutes outside of Rising Fawn, GA is the Cloudland Canyon State Park.
