W Oak - Lombard

Wag your way to the W Oak - Lombard neighborhood in Mahomet for a furrific day out playing in parks with your pooch. The Bridle Leash Park offers a barkload of fun with your doggo! Play in its 10.5 acres of green space with two ball diamonds. Most of all, enjoy its near 1-mile natural walking trail with your pooch on-leash! The W Oak - Lombard neighborhood also houses the 13 Acres Park, which, as you might guess, features 13-acres of beautiful park land! Spring Lake

The Spring Lake neighborhood in south Mahomet will bark you and your pooch away with its breathtaking River Bend Forest Preserve; one of two forest preserves in Mahomet. The River Bend Forest Preserve features 275-acres of beautiful land, 130-acres of pristine lakes, and 2.5 miles of woodsy forest along the rolling Sangamon River. Once the sight of an old mine, this forest preserve now offers plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy, such as hiking, horse riding (except on walking trails), fishing, and more! Explore on-leash with Fido, making sure to visit the 1-mile nature trail and 1-mile multi-use trail. Don't forget to take out everything you bring in, including your pup's waste!

Twin Oaks

Don't miss out on the Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve while in Mahomet! The Lake of the Woods is perhaps Mahomet's most pawpular park, with over 900 acres of land offering folks to enjoy multiple outdoor activities while visiting key attractions. You and Fido will pawticularly enjoy the many hiking/biking paths that stretch the length of the preserve. The main trail extends 3.3 miles and features a paved pedestrian path which winds through the natural grasslands, woodsy forests, and prairies and also crosses the Lake of the Woods Covered Bridge! If you're woofing for a shorter trail, try out the 0.5-mile path that winds through the forest of the Rayburn-Purnell Woods. You and your pup will have a barking good time at the Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve in Mahomet!
