Montgomery
Montgomery Drive is adjacent to E. County Road 750 North, not far from Lincoln Avenue in the southern part of Charleston. This is an animated and busy spot, offering a few local businesses, entertainment venues, and several public parks and recreational areas. Your pup will love visiting Charleston Dog Park, a pet-friendly spot with plenty of room to run, grass and gravel cover, and some benches for pet owners. The area is well-shaded but has no drinking water fountains. If you want to have a picnic, head to Morton Park! This expansive public park has several playgrounds and separate spots for picnicking. Pooches are welcome but should stay on-leash.

Northeast Urbana
Northeast Urbana is a nice and a pet-friendly neighborhood in Urbana, IL which features scenic recreational spots with lush parks and trails to explore with Fido. Or, you can have some off-leash fun at Urbana Dog Park, a fenced enclosure hidden away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. This pet-friendly place is very pawpular! You're sure to meet plenty of locals playing catch or exercising with their pups while you're here. The park has a single area covered in grass, plenty of room to run and chase, as well as some benches and drinking water for your comfort.

East Decatur
Nelson Park is located on the banks of Decatur Lake, offering wonderful water views and refreshing walks along the shore. Set in the eastern part of Decatur, Nelson Park is a spacious and popular city park featuring a covered pavilion and spots to share a picnic with a pooch. This is a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy a walk with Fido on the lake shore. Finish off the day with a late dinner at The Beach House. This pet-friendly restaurant has an amazing shaded patio floating right on the water! Pet parents are welcome to treat their fur babies to some delicious fare as long as the pups stay leashed.

East Riverside
East Riverside Avenue runs through the spacious and gorgeous Fairview Park in West Decatur, Illinois. If your pooch doesn't mind traveling for about an hour and a half, this neighborhood is a great day trip destination! Fairview Park features a pond, biking trails, tennis courts, and even a swimming pool. Fido Fields, an area within the park where pooches can play off-leash and have fun, makes this park even more pawesome! There is enough room for everyone, and when it's really hot, the park even provides kiddie pools for pups to splash in. Water is available for drinking and filling the pools.
South Rising
Outlining the western part of Champaign, South Rising Road will point your way to Robert C. Porter Family Park. This is a roomy public park with walking trails, plenty of nature to explore, and a pond set within a restored prairie area. It's the perfect retreat for leashed walks with your buddy! If you want some off-leash fun, Champaign Bark District, just across the street, is a marvelous spot to stop by and chat with locals while your active mutt burns all his energy chasing some new tails. The area is fenced, shaded, and has some seating, but no drinking water.
