Staley
Staley is a populated area in eastern Champaign, IL, separated from the Kenwood neighborhood by I-57. Set on multiple water reservoirs, Staley offers an elaborate landscape to explore. The neighborhood is also a favorite among the local golf enthusiasts, thanks to the two massive golf courses here. Robert C. Porter Family Park is the place you'll want to visit with Fido, though. This is a 38-acre recreation spot with a natural setting and diverse flora! Once you have finished exploring the restored prairie area, paw on over to Champaign Bark District across the street! It’s a large, dog-friendly enclosure (about 7 acres) for off-leash games and chases!

East Decatur
Nelson Park is a waterfront recreation area just east of Decatur's downtown district. Overlooking the lake, the park is tucked between residential quarters featuring single-family homes and some high-rise apartments. The neighborhood's park is perfect for a family-friendly outdoor adventure! You will need to keep Fido on-leash in the central area, near the pavilions and shoreline. Don't fret just yet, though, because off-leash freedom is waiting for them in the designated dog park! Nelson Dog Park is a furrific place! Pooches of all sizes and temperaments can sniff out some friends their own size in one of two enclosures. There’s also a double-gated entrance for your comfort, as well as drinking water and shaded seating.

West End
West End is a central neighborhood in Decatur, Illinois, located about 45 minutes west of Bement via IL-105 West. This is a family-friendly district with historical allure and excellent walking trails -- especially in Fairview Park! This extensive green area set on a creek is pawfect for any occasion! The park features a pond, paved walking trails through dense woodlands, a tennis court, and a dog park. Fido Fields is a 2-acre, fenced park designed let your buddy roam and play off-leash with some new pup peers! There are two areas for small and large pooches. However, you will need to register and get a pass at the central park office.

Charleston City Center
Home to Eastern Illinois University, Charleston is a lovely place to visit! The central part of Charleston is one of the most attractive areas for visitors, pawticularly those with fur and four legs. This area features several government offices and a public library. Just south, you'll find the busy East Co. Road 750 North, a place buzzing with traffic as well as chain restaurants and coffee shops. Charleston Dog Park is also located here! This is relatively new dog park that the locals pawsitively love. Bring drinking water and waste bags with you; they're not provided here. If you want to spend more than just the day here, Unique Suites Hotel on West Lincoln Avenue offers a pet-friendly lodging policy!
Northeast Urbana
I-74 outlines the borders of Northeast Urbana, Illinois. This is a primarily residential area with high-rise apartments, medium-sized single-family homes, and some municipal buildings. The neighborhood also features three parks, one of which is dedicated entirely to canines’ needs! Urbana Dog Park is nestled in the heart of the area. Open from sunrise to sunset, this 10-acre off-leash park is the pawfect place to get some exercise with your best furry friend, or join the locals for a chat. The admission fee for visitors is $5 for a day pass, or you can purchase an annual membership, which will also grant you access to the dog park in Champaign.
